Step 3: Determine Your Meal Plan and Starting Calorie Intake
Once you have your present body weight and body fat percentage documented you can now proceed to the recommended Current Condition Recommended Meal Program Chart (below) and look up the appropriate program for you to follow:
Current Condition Recommended Meal Program Chart
Less than 10% bodyfat
Skinny and need to gain as much muscle as possible including some body fat
System – A Protein -1.5 gm Fats - 1 gm Carbohydrates - 1 gm
10% - 15% bodyfat
Gain muscle mass while limiting fat gain as much as possible
System – B Protein - 1.5 gm Fats - .40 gm Carbohydrates - 1 gm
Over 15% bodyfat
Need to lower body fat to optimise body’s hormones.
System – C Protein -1.5 gm Fats - .10 gm Carbohydrates - .60 gm
To summarise above chart:
• Body fat percentage under 10 %. Skinny and need to gain as much muscle as possible including some body fat. System - A.
• Body fat percentage between 10 and 15 %. Need to gain muscle mass while keeping fat gain as little as possible. System - B.
• Body fat percentage over 15%. Skinny but require to lose body fat first in order to achieve an explosive growth spurt. System - C.
Some circumstances are not available with the choices given in The Recommended Meal Program Chart. For example, you have already gained substantial mass and are now focusing on losing body fat while retaining muscle. If this describes you then you have a few choices:
