Although getting an accurate body fat measurement may be a little inconvenient, your progress will be accelerated greatly by starting out on the right track.
This is not an option! Go and get these measurements taken by a professional. Pull out a phone book right now and look up the following places in your area to find out what is most convenient for you:
• University sports facility. • X – Ray technician. • Local gym. • Personal trainers.
The above sources all are able to take your body fat for a slight fee of no more than twenty to forty dollars. Record your body weight, body fat percentage and starting measurements of your arms, legs, chest, calves and waist in a training log for future reference. Take some pictures too!
If you ordered the body fat measuring kit you can refer to the instructions for a detailed explanation on how to measure your body fat percentage.
Your body weight will help to determine your daily caloric requirements. Your body fat percentage determines what type of meal plan you will start. Once you have your body weight and body fat percentage, proceed to Step 2.
