But the question remains,is it the type of fat (saturated vs. unsaturated) , the amount of fat, or a combination of both?

A more recent study showed a significant decrease in testosterone in male endurance athletes who switched from a meat rich diet to a lacto-ovo diet.(5.)

What's interesting in this study is that the athletes didn't decrease the amount of fat they consumed only the type.

It 's clear from the evidence that diet influences resting testosterone(6). But how much fat should you consume?

The answers aren't clear cut, but at least 30% of total calories should come from fat. Should you increase your saturated fat intake and increase your risk for heart disease and cancer in an effort to naturally increase testosterone levels? ( more on this on The Fat Truth )

Perhaps it depends on your alternatives and your current state of health. ONe thing is for sure there's is no need to cut fat from your diet.

And remember, in none of these studies were changes seen overnoght. It takes time--at least 2 to three weeks for changes to occur.
